Mint    pretty much perfect and mostly mark free - will play perfect. 

EX    with some surface marks - will play pretty much perfect. 

VG+    Record with marks - will/could play with some noise. 

VG-    Record with numerous marks & scratches - will play with background noise (still a record worth having - will play all the way through – good for Djing - no skips or jumps). 

G    Will be well used, little or no shine, will play all the through but with significant background noise.
