Firstly, due to operator error the green labels came out a shade of yellow in the photos.
This is the 1969 self titled Deep Purple LP on Harvest SHVL 759 and is the second pressing of that year with the EMI logo on the label. The stamped matrices on the run-offs show A-1 and B-2 for the pressing.
The E.J. Day gatefold sleeve showing the Hieronymus Bosch painting has a laminated outer and matt inner. The left flap is sealed, the left mouth is open for the disc. Is quite a solid example with no rips, tears or writing. No significant edge wear or creasing to mention but it is 50 years old with some spots of paint loss on the purple inner if the 4th photo shows that. So overall I rate the sleeve 8 /10 for condition.
Onto the labels which although looking jaundiced are in nice shape and the minimal spindle 'snail' tracking at the centres shows evidence of a few spins at most.   As for the vinyl itself it's flat and shiny. At the window in daylight the playing surfaces look very clean but as always the acid test is under the evil desk lamp which can either elate, please, satisfy, disappoint or depress. In this instance I see the expected (ie a 50 years old record) few paper scuffs when angling the disc under the light. Other than that it's a tick in the please box. Consequently I'm tempted to give the vinyl 8.5 but let's say 8 /10 to be safe and conservative.
The inner poly-lined sleeve looks to be the original and the paper shows age browning as to be expected.
Overall you won't be disappointed with this particular 1969 Deep Purple UK LP copy.
