Grading Vinyl Records: I use the industry standard grading guide below for records.
I do not purchase vinyl below VG condition.
How Will My Record Be Packed?
*IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME THAT YOUR RECORD ARRIVES UNDAMAGED!
When packing a record, I separate the vinyl (in the sleeve) from the jacket to prevent seam-splits during shipment. If required I include a FREE stiff 12” cardboard spacer to sandwich the record inside a FREE high-quality professional RECORD BOX MAILER worth $1.44 made in the USA from 100% recycled paper.
SHIPPING TO N AMERICA ONLY!
Please be sure this is what you want from the grading description here and attached photos!
M MINT
The record is as new. Cover and any inserts in perfect condition.
NM NEAR MINT
The record is near-mint. Only one to two extremely small marks prevent it from being graded as MINT. Under Bright Light you may see barely visible fine lines on the record, caused by rubbing on the paper sleeve. NM covers and inserts similarly only have very slight imperfections.
EX EXCELLENT
The record may show some signs of having been played, possibly with light surface marks or fingerprints but there is no appreciable lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
EX- EXCELLENT MINUS
There may be fairly visible surface markings under bright light and an acceptable level of surface noise but the overall sound quality of the record is not adversely affected. The Cover & inserts may have light creasing, ring wear or foxing due to dampness but are all present and intact.
VG+ VERY GOOD PLUS
The record has obviously been played a lot, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality other than very occasional pops / light surface noise from marks and light scratches. The cover may be creased and/or frayed at the opening
