Regarding records for this upcoming Sunday auction:- almost ALL are from an INCREDIBLE collection that was played ONCE to tape and NEVER played again!  There were a VERY few LPs from this collection which the owner did play slightly more, but at least 90% of them were only ever played once or twice to tape - with most of the collection being in ASTOUNDING condition!!!!  And again, the nearly ALL covers were kept in plastic sleeves from the day they were bought.  So essentially 90% of them look exactly like they did when purchased 30 or 40 years ago!  This is just one LP from that collection:-

On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by The Stranglers called "Stranglers IV" and is an ORIGINAL 1980 UK 1st Pressing on the 1st Press IRS label!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS ONE OF THE STRANGLERS RAREST LPs EVER - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  BACK IN 1980 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED - IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS, AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!!  AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE, AND IS INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!!  THIS LP IS MADE EVEN RARER STILL - AS IT IS 100% COMPLETE WITH ITS ORIGINAL 1ST PRESS 'CREDITS' INNER SLEEVE!!!!

HOWEVER, THIS LP IS DEFINITELY THE WIERDEST AND STRANGEST STRANGLERS RECORD I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!!  ALTHOUGH OFFICIALLY IT WAS NOT MEANT TO BE AVAILABLE OR RELEASED IN THE UK, MANY RECORD SHOPS IMPORTED COPIES OF THIS LP FOR SALE HERE.  HOWEVER THIS ISN'T THE STRANGE PART:-

1) THE COVER APPEARS TO BE MADE IN THE UK - WITH THE UK ADDRESS AT THE BOTTOM.

2) ALTHOUGH THE RECORD WAS BOUGHT IN THE UK AT HMV (SEE THE HMV PRICE STICKER ON THE 'FACTORY SEAL') IT WAS OBVIOUSLY IMPORTED VIA IRELAND - AS IT HAS AN IRISH IMPORT STICKER (ALSO ON THE FACTORY SEAL).

3) HOWEVER, THE STRANGEST PART ABOUT THIS LP IS THAT 'GOLD STAMPED' FPFPFPFPFP (SEE PICTURE!) IN THE BACK LEFT CORNER ON THE COVER BACK!!!!  THIS IS UNDER THE 'FACTORY SEAL' AND CLEARLY FACTORY MADE.  YET I CAN FIND NO OTHER 1ST PRESSING OF THIS LP LIKE IT ANYWHERE!!!!  WAS IT AN EXPORT STAMP - SPECIALLY FOR THE UK????  CERTAINLY IT MAKES THIS LP VERY VERY RARE INDEED!!!!

NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN ABSOLUTELY STUNNING CONDITION - AND HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!!  JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1980 UK 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS IRS LABEL, 1ST PRESS 'CREDITS' INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS 'GOLD STAMPED' COVER (STILL IN ITS ORIGINAL SHRIKNWRAP!)!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL IRS UK 1st Pressing from 1980 and is in STUNNING condition!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl.  The Cat. No is SP 70011 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press IRS label (see picture) and is a UK Stereo 1st Pressing (there were NO Monos)!!!!

The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!!  IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!!  The vinyl is in absolutely STUNNING condition!!!!  Most of these Punk/New Wave LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, NO hairlines, NO scufflines, only 2 or 3 absolutely ULTRA light surface traces, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND LOOKS SUPERB!!!!  It is also great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!!  The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!!  The record must grade Excellent(Minus) if not FULL Excellent!!!!  SUPERB RECORD!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!!  I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!!  The record comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Credits' inner sleeve which is in SUPERB condition and completely UNSPLIT!!!!  The ORIGINAL 1st Press Cover is in AMAZING condition!!!!  As it is still FULLY SEALED (apart from the opening edge) in its ORIGINAL Factory Shrinkwrap - it has NO edge wear (SUPERB unworn edges!), NO spinal wear (SUPERB vertical spine, with PERFECT side words!), NO sticker marks, NO sticker tears, barely ANY corner wear AT ALL (virtually NONE!), NO rips, NO tears, barely ANY creases AT ALL (virtually NONE - and cover is VERY flat looking indeed!), NO ringwear, NO rubbing,  NO annotations, and NO writing!!!!  The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!!  Even the back of the cover is in AWESOME condition with NO grubbyness, NO yellowing, NO rubbing, and NO writing!!!!  The cover must grade Excellent++++ if not MINT(Minus)!!!!  AWESOME COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
