Very rare New Orleans Jazz 45 – Pete Eveland & The Royal Canal Street Band Inc. on the Seven B Label (7042). Condition is rated at VG plus but probably is worthy of a NM rating. One of the cleanest original 45s I've ever come across. I am unable to find an image or record of this title having being sold before. The A Side is 'An Afternoon with Daisy' and the B Side is 'Drivin' Down to Dixie.
I am an LP collector and usually would VPI clean my records but I do not have the attachments to clean singles. I played this after a light Disc Washer brushing and it plays very well. Excellent sound with very minimal noise. I will leave it to the new owner to further clean as they see fit but it is extremely clean as is. No scuffs or scratches that I can see. I tried to get some close up images to show the surface condition, this single still has a really nice gloss. The uneven reflection you see are the clouds outside the window I took the images in front of.
The only defect of note is that when originally pressed two pieces of the label on the A side separated and adhered to the runout area (see pic). The two bits of label do not contact the grooves of the recorded area and they do not affect play whatsoever. The label itself is very clean with no dirt or wear.
The sleeve is the original white generic paper. If I can answer any other questions you may have, I am happy to, just drop me a note.
Thanks for looking at my listing and good luck!
