Ornette Coleman Shape of Jazz *nice!* VG mono DG 1stPR 1959 Atlantic 1317

VINYL: VG strong (conservative)

play tested excellent. Punchy, bright, sounds great across the frequency range. Ornette in the room with you! Vinyl is in really excellent shape with deep lustre. Ultrasonic cleaning has ensured only light unobtrusive surface noise that is either not present or very much under the track. 2 blemishes that can be heard: #1 S1T1 for 4 revolutions right at the start and can be heard over the track for a few seconds. #2 S1T3 for 6 revolutions under the track. Neither of these overly spoil the overall listening pleasure which is imho fantastic! Labels are in beautiful condition. This is a lovely record - See also descrip below.

SLEEVE: VG in very sound condition. Spine/top edge great, as is bottom edge but for 2” split at r/f corner. Rub wear on front. Light staining on back which is otherwise very good indeed. See pics

How Will My Record Be Packed?

*IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME THAT YOUR RECORD ARRIVES UNDAMAGED!

When packing a record, I separate the vinyl (in the sleeve) from the jacket to prevent seam-splits during shipment. If required I include a FREE stiff 12” cardboard spacer to sandwich the record inside a FREE high-quality professional RECORD BOX MAILER made in the USA from 100% recycled paper.

**EBAY ANTI-RETURN FRAUD PARTNER**

I go to such lengths to ensure the highest quality packaging it is impossible for a record to be damaged without very obvious visible severe damage to the mailer.

If you claim you have received a vinyl record that is cracked or damaged I will ask you to send me the following before I will even consider any kind of refund:

High-quality photographs showing -

1. each side of the whole LP that is good enough quality to zoom in and clearly see any damage without it being blurred

2. A close-up photograph of each side of the label on the record to verify it is the same record as dispatched

3. Clear pictures of any damage to the mailer

4. Please contact me first but then be prepared to wait just a couple of days while I work with eBay to check for any return fraud patterns. Whilst we are all operating under the honor system unfortunately this has become necessary especially regarding vinyl records. THANK YOU! :)

SHIPPING TO N AMERICA ONLY!

Please be sure this is what you want from the grading description here and attached photos!

M MINT

The record is as new. Cover and any inserts may also be in perfect condition or otherwise, as described.

NM NEAR MINT

The record is near-mint. Only one to two light surface marks or partial fogging prevent it from being graded as MINT. Under Bright Light you may see barely visible fine lines on the record, caused by rubbing on the paper sleeve. NM covers and inserts similarly only have very slight imperfections.

EX EXCELLENT

There may be fairly visible surface markings/mottling/fogging under bright light and an acceptable level of surface noise but the overall sound quality of the record is not overly adversely affected. The Cover & any inserts may have light creasing, ring wear or foxing but are all present and intact.

EX- EXCELLENT MINUS

The record may show some signs of having been played, possibly with surface marks, mottling/fogging or fingerprints. There may be intermittant surface noise. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VG+ VERY GOOD PLUS

The record has obviously been played a lot and there may be fairly visible surface markings/mottling/fogging but there is no major deterioration in sound quality other than very occasional pops / surface noise from marks and scratches that may be at times clearly audible do not cause skipping or overly affect the overall listening experience. The cover may be creased/frayed at the opening

VG VERY GOOD

Same imperfections found on VG+ records but in slightly greater numbers. Records graded VG and above will typically not have any scratches that are deep enough to cause skipping.

G GOOD

Pervasive imperfections of varying degrees including both light scratches and scratches deep enough to be felt with the fingernail.

G+ GOOD PLUS

Imperfections as described above in the good range but the record still plays through well without any skips.
