Pink Floyd: The Dark Side of the Moon
Japanese Mobile Fidelity UHQR-pressing from 1981.
Limited edition of 5000, this is no. 870.
One LP with separate cover housed in a cardboard-box, article-no. is MFQR 1-017.
Complete with certificate, technical specifications and polyfoam-dividers (which are fully intact, no corruption at all!).
Just as all items for sale this week, the box comes from a smoker's environment.
But you can only tell this from the left upper corner which is slightly yellowed and very mildly reeking of nicotine.
The inside - the cover, the inserts, the polyfoam-dividers - don't show any signs of it.
Everything looks - and smells! - like coming directly from the factory!
Condition Box: VG+. Has the mentioned yellowing of the right upper corner and some abrasions from storage.
On top of the spine, just below the silver band, the pre-owner has attempted to overpaint abrasions with a black marker. Result is not too bad and only recognizable at 2nd glance.
Obviously - and rather fortunately - it wasn't worth the effort to him to do it on the entire box.
Condition
Vinyl: NM. Could as well be graded mint. Not the faintest hairline visible under strong light. A perfect copy!

A note
about my record-grading:
I
usually only visually grade the LPs under strong light and I only
playgrade them ( i.e. the portions that seem to have signs of usage),
if I can't be sure of their actual condition.
If records show
stronger signs of soiling I'll professionally clean them (Okki Nokki
RCM), but I'm not doing this if it's obviously only dust, as I know
that collectors usually prefer their
very own way of
record-cleaning.
My goal is to always decribe the records
appropriately and I will name every visible and/or audible defect in
my detailed description. If regardless of my precautions
you
should ever be dissatisfied with the condition of a record, please
contact me before leaving negative or neutral feedback to give me the
chance to resolve your query.
I'm confident, however, that this
will hardly ever be the case. I've been selling records for many
years now and so far complaints fortunately have been the utter
exception!
