Opportunity for a bargain, this is an open, used (but only played once) copy of The National's brilliant new album I Am Easy to Find.
Although it has only been played once and is new, it is not mint and I will give a detailed breakdown of the LP's condition below. Please note, I am an extremely conservative grader of LPs. I do not grade any played record above very good, even if it has only been played once and is new as I think it is dishonest.
Also, many of the blemishes below are common to the pressing based on online comments I have read. This copy plays through from start to finish with no loud pops but does have occasional surface noise, clicks and so on as described below.
Plastic case: Fair condition. The cover is as new but is torn and was like this from new. There is a tear by one of the flaps and the plastic seam bottom left of the front (the side which has I am Easy to Find on it is also splitting. Lots of people online all say the same thing and I think it is just general to the pressing.
Sleeve: Good condition. The tri-fold sleeve is in as new condition but there are two pressure creases, which were on the sleeve from new and a small indentation on the back cover, again from new. Once of the creases is on the back and one is on one of the panels which folds in. See photo as an example. Not terrible and like this from new.
Inner sleeves. All as new but the "yellow" disc inner sleeve has a factory handling crease-see photo. None of the sleeves are split.
Lyric booklet: As new-there has been a lot of online chat about how easily damaged these are. This copy only has the lightest of factory handling little creases to the paper. It creases just by breathing on it-that kind of stupid paper.
Download card: Unused
Poster unused. Factory handling creases on one side but would probably iron out easily if you cared about such a thing.
Discs: This is coloured vinyl and therefore there is some light occasional ambient/background surface noise-I have heard two copies of this album and they are both the same.
Red disc: Good condition Very occasional clicks, generally good sound quality with minimal surface noise.
Yellow disc: Fair condition: Some clicks but no pops. I did notice however a few moments of light, momentary surface noise/distortion on the track "Light Years".
Grey disc: Fair condition. This is one long track and there are some clicks and surface noise on the disc. No pops but I did notice some light ambient surface noise during some portions of the song. Not terrible but obviously this is a subjective thing. There were clicks here and there.
This is an ideal playing copy of this LP or if anyone is seeking a copy on a budget/seeking to replace bits of their copy which are damaged. I know the lyric booklet has been a bone of contention.... Hope it goes to a good home. Musically the album is superb.
UK bidders only. Due to the weight I cannot combine shipping on this LP with anything else; it won't fit in with anything else. £5.45 is the Royal Mail cost of postage.
