This Swedish one-man outfit specialises in rich yet melancholy black metal, blending folk and depressive elements with strong melodies that could almost have come from Dissection. This new 2020 opus, the 3rd album from Grift, is as atmospheric and immersive as one would expect and has nods to the likes of Winterfylleth and Drudkh, with whom Grift released a collaborative split record in 2016.
