14 years after the last album ''Pray'', the death/thrash commando SOLSTICE from Miami wanted to know it again and kicked out the 3rd full lenght album ''To Dust'' in 2009. Between jagged thrash riffs and fast death metal runs including frenetic blast beats, the Florida Boys shoot one volley after the other into the crowd and let off steam with this 11 tracks. They even took the opportunity to record a CYNIC cover, so that the 41 minutes of playing time are completely convincing. ''To Dust'' is a lesson in composition, sound and craft. Of all the many great old school death and thrash bands to reunite in the last few years, none has been more unexpected than from SOLSTICE. Whoever is into this kind of music shouldn't be able to escape the sound from "To Dust". Pressed onto vinyl for the first time in 2017, the black version is limited to 250 copies and comes with lyric insert.
