Good Times LP by Brian Faith Band collector's 12" vinyl ed.. Condition is "New", shrink wrapped LP. Shipped with USPS Media Mail.
This is sure to be on the list for collectors of the band's previous works under the names of Giant Crab and Big Brother Ernie Joseph. The two Giant Crab albums released on UNI Records are cult favorites as is the Big Brother Ernie Joseph Confusion album released on All American Records.
Songs from the Giant Crab LPs have been sampled by Australia's Hilltop Hoods (The Light You Burned) and Hip hop artist DJ Shadow. The Big Brother Ernie Joseph original LP is the envy of collectors and has been sold for $225 to $350 per copy.
The Good Times LP is sure to be a favorite among collectors, but the songs themselves have their own appeal. It was the voice of the band Rare Earth, notably Peter Hoorelbeke (aka Peter Rivera) who was in the studio while recording the title cut "Good Times". The song resonated with Peter so much that he immediately approached the band saying, " I want to sing that song ! " So the voice you hear on the title cut "Good Times" is none other than Peter himself.
Similarly, the Brian Faith Band was open to sharing their music with other players. Also featured in the title cut are musician friends including the late great Cornelius Bumpus (Doobie Brothers) sax soloist, Gary Windo (Tubes, Todd Rundgren, Pink Floyd) sax, Dennis Marcellino (Elvin Bishop Band, Sly Stone, Rubicon, The Tokens) sax, Kenny Cetera (Chicago) vocal backups, Hubert Tubbs (Tower of Power) vocal backups, and Burleigh Drummond (Ambrosia) drums.
The rock ballad "Clouds" features sax solo by Cornelius Bumpus, with Floyd Sneed (Three Dog Night) on drums, and Hubert Tubbs , backup vocals.
The Reggae stand out tune "Emotional Arrest" includes musical bros Dave Muse (Firefall) keyboards, and Tim Bogert (Vanilla Fudge, Beck-Bogert-Appice) bass guitar.
All sax solos by the late great Cornelius Bumpus (Doobie Brothers/Steeley Dan).
Core band members J. Armstrong with the Orosco brothers - Cory Orosco (guitar, vocals, keyboards) Brian Faith (drums, bass, vocals) and "Big Brother Ernie Joseph" (lead guitar and vocals).
Recorded at the historical SRS Studio Santa Barbara, CA by engineer/producers Ernie and Cory Orosco, credited as the first to record Katy Perry.
