Offered is the 1st Mono Hollywood Plant Pressing of Porgy And Bess, by Miles Davis, on the well-regarded Columbia "6 Eye" label (CL 1274).
Below we have listed the unusual and distinctive deadwax matrixes from the Hollywood Pressing Plant - with Side 1 in a stamped format, while the Side 2 matrix is etched.
Paul Chambers, "Philly" Joe Jones, Julian Adderley, Jimmy Cobb and orchestral direction by Gil Evans are with Miles on this wonderful Jazz Classic release. It is in superb, Near Mint, Investment Grade Condition.

THE VINYL : NEAR MINT
NM : This beautiful record is lightly played with minimal evidence of spindlewear (please see close up photos of the labels). Both sides of the LP surface retain all of their original gloss.
Other than some light cosmetic sleevewear from the inner sleeve, there are no marks on either side.
Bright, undamaged, Red and Black Columbia Records "6 Eye" labels (please see photos).
The record shows exceptional care and handling, and the mono playback is impressive.

NM : Please see photos / front cover photo by Roy DeCarava / exceptionally well-stored / laminated / bright colors / sharp corners / no edgewear / no ringwear / all of the seams, including the spine, are intact / no writing, paper loss, stains or dirt.

Please Note : On both Side A & Side B, the final identifier at the end of each sequence, "H", is the Logo of the Hollywood Pressing Plant. Also, on Side 1, that final sequence ("1 H") looks to be etched rather than stamped.
