TERRY KLEIN-IGL & STONE RECIORDS-“KEEP ON RUNNING”-1967 BOTH COPIES/AUCTION

I don’t think I have seen this offered this way before. Here are both copies of Terry Klein’s records of “Keep On Running” with Dee Jay & The Runaways on IGL’s Sonic Records. The Sonic 45 is NM with the sleeve autographed by Terry and the Stone 45 of “Keep On Running” is VG+ with some WOL on the B-side. Both released in 1967. Here is the story, after the Sonic 45 came out the Stone 45 was released without the knowledge by IGL Records, Terry or Dee Jay & The Runaways. It appeared on the market some years later to everyone’s surprise. Stone was an active East Cost rock label.  “Keep On Running” is a killer screamer with fuzz guitar. Killer combo. See photos. IGL & SONIC RECORDS ARCHIVE

If you are a record collector of amazing 60’s garage music, then Milford, Iowa’s IGL & Sonic Records are one of the “Holy Grail” ‘60s labels in existence. I was able to acquire an amazing grouping of IGL/Sonic 45 records with 98% being in mint condition. It was like going into the IGL vault. It’s almost unheard of considering that many of these discs are now close to 58 years old. I’d suggest if you collect these labels, here is your chance to get amazingly scarce mint copies. I doubt you’ll see this opportunity again. In a few cases if it is not Mint, I’ll note that. There are a few of those as well.

To those that collect the rarest of the IGL LP’s, then the “Steve Ellis’s Songbook” on the IGL label is the label’s most sought-after LP, especially in MINT condition. Well, then here it is. Here is MINT copy of the ultra-rare 1967 release. It’s not a re-issue, but the real deal.
