!979 reissue, gatefold, Jacksonville,IL. pressed. In 2017 the RS called this the greatest metal record of all-time. Things like that do happen sometimes... The bands second studio release. Released in Sept. 1970 in the U.K. Paranoid's US release was delayed until January 1971, as the Black Sabbath album was still on the charts at the time. Paranoid reached No. 12 in the US in March 1971. Ranked at No. 130 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of The greatest rock and roll albums of all time. That was Dec 2003.
