About the Rosenbergs
Mozes Rosenberg, Johnny Rosenberg and Sani van Mullem represent the new generation of the musical Rosenberg family. It was their Sinti roots that brought The Rosenbergs together, as they all played guitar from a very early age. Based on the music of the legendary Django Reinhardt, The Rosenbergs have a refreshing and contemporary Gipsy Jazz sound laced with Spanish influences. Mozes is the virtuoso soloist of the Trio. A young guitar prodigy, he was noticed by Paco de Lucia and Joe Zawinul in his early teens. Nowadays, he is one of the world’s top guitarists and is a highly sought-after guest musician, for instance with the Rosenberg Trio’s Familia tour and Richard Galliano’s gypsy project. Johnny is Holland’s top rhythm guitarist, and a gifted singer. He made his name as a youngster with Jimmy Rosenberg in his groups Gipsy Kids and Sinti. They opened for the likes of James Brown and Mariah Carey and counted Les Paul and George Benson amongst their fans. Johnny has played Carnegie Hall in New York. Bass virtuoso Sani van Mullem is the finest bassist in any gypsy jazz group worldwide. At an early age, he played multiple theatre tours with the Gipsy Boys and Dutch piano sensation Jan Vayne. He is the bass player on Stochelo Rosenberg’s ‘Ready ‘n’ Able’ album and has toured live with him and Mozes on many occasions.
