Doo Wop vocal duet ("Zerlene") by Gene & Billy and R&B saxophone instrumental ("The Whip") by Billy & Billygoats (actually saxophonist Gil Bernel) were originally issued separately on Spark records in 1954 and 1955 "Zerlene" was first issued (with flip side "It's Hot") on Spark 120 in 1955 "The Whip" is actually the same recording (cowritten by Lieber & Stoller) issued on Spark 102 in 1954 by R&B saxophonist Gil Bernel Gene (Ford) and Billy (Boyd) were members of Chanters vocal group on RPM and also recorded as the Cats on Federal Vinyl on both sides is VG to VG+ with some wear / scratches Label on "Zerlene" side has wear and rectangular sticker removal marking Label on "The Whip" side has wear and no markings/stickers/tears/writing Combined shipping on multiple orders
