SUFFOCATION, the founders of early american brutal death metal ways, strikes back in 2013 with their 7th studio album ''Pinnacle Of Bedlam''. Nobody can deny that the guys handwriting is unique and as concise as hardly any other band in this genre. That's just what SUFFOCATION sounds like and no one else. And "Pinnacle Of Bedlam" is in every way an SUFFOCATION record as you would like it to be, despite being well versed in guitar playing, never too tricky & always trying to maintain a certain basic groove. The album also celebrates the return of drummer Dave Culross, who replaces Mike Smith and was already to hear on the legendary ''Despise The Sun'' EP back in 1998. The sound is extreme heavy and yet you can hear the details well. The drums thunder and bolt without it sounding clinical or crazy, the guitars saw, scratch and mangle you. ''Pinnacle Of Bedlam'' is a damn strong album that will bring some youngsters back down to earth. The limited vinyl edition comes in orange wax with grey/green splatters in gatefold cover.
