Two Vintage Vinyl Monkees LPS - these are the original Mono releases on Colgems label
Their 1966 self title debut album and More of the Monkees from 1967
yes - they were an imaginary band created for a TV show, but along with their own legit musicianship, the monkees were supported by an incredible stable of songwriters and studio musicians and their music stands with the best pop of the 1960s.
These first two albums contain most of their best songs.
