Very nice copy of the original 5-record album of Bing's all-time classic Christmas album, Merry Christmas, in its original first release from the days of the War. The classic of all classic Christmas albums, released and rereleased again and again each year, never at any time out of print. But this is the very first issue, and the rarest. Later, in about 1947, it was whittled down to only 4 discs, so here is the more complete version.  This copy is in very nice shape. The discs all have a bit of wear but ty all play clearly and nicely with just a bit of background noise. Not bad! They really sound lovely and present, unlike on any other format. The only caveat is that the last disc, the one with the Andrews Sisters, is the later 1947 pressing, from the 4-disc set. Same music, same sound, but a slightly later label. Still the set is complete and plays very nicely. The cover also has a touch of wear but is still intact with an intact spine and strong binding. Some edge and corner wear, and a slight bowing to the boards. But really overall it is a very nice copy, completely enjoyable and lovely.
