Among the celebrated underground heroes of the first death metal wave in Europe were bands like ENTOMBED, MORGOTH, GRAVE or also the Dutch GOREFEST. ''Mindloss'' is the 10 track debut album from 1991, which left worldwide an immediate impression. Frontman Jan-Chris de Koeijer & guitarist Frank Harthoorn founded the band in 1989 and immediately delivered soon their first demo with ''Tangled In Gore''. The raw, brutal sound & aggressive riffing as well as the angry growls soon ensured that the music of GOREFEST quickly became known in the death metal scene. No wonder that their 2nd demo ''Horrors In A Retarded Mind'' followed already in 1990. The style of the predecessor was retained and with ''Confessions Of A Serial Killer'' the Tape probably contained one of the band's greatest hits. Another year later, ''Mindloss'' was finally the first full lenght album by the Dutch in stores. The 8 tracks of the two demos had been re-recorded and an intro & an unpublished song had been added. Here is the complete early work of GOREFEST re-released on a chic Double-LP. In addition to the debut, there are the two demos mentioned above as Bonus-LP on top. ''Mindloss + Demos'' a work with which you certainly can't go wrong, because you get Death Metal that is still fascinating even after 30 years. The 2019's re-edition on limited vinyl comes in clear wax with red/black splatters, biography notes, packed in gatefold cover.
