We have sold close to 1,000 classical albums from this lot over the past year. We find ourselves holding hundreds of opera box sets and cantata albums (mostly single disc). We now offer an option to purchase high playing grade opera and cantata albums at a very low price.
NOTE #1 on this item: outer sleeve condition
We recently acquired a load of university library (ex-libris) albums, directly from the music department. These albums play nearly uniformly in VG+ / NM- / NM range, but being ex-libris most will have library tags affixed to the front cover (or inside cover of box sets). Some covers are bumped / split / stamped and/or show sign of moderate shelf wear.
We are offering these great playing albums here at steep discount, due only to the cover issues.
We're now in excess of 1,000 quality classical albums (and counting) sold and delivered to satisfied eBay customers over the past 9 months.

This year (2021) we are liquidating thousands of vinyl records across all genres. Save us as a seller and check back frequently as we'll be updating our offerings weekly.
We are listing single albums, as well as several "Choose your albums / bundle and save" options. See our other listings (search under "LP") for more vinyl options.

Instant vinyl opera collection!
In this listing, you will receive randomly selected opera and cantata albums for a flat $24.99 which includes shipping. The albums in this group are largely ex-university library holdings.
You will receive AT LEAST 10 discs in a combination of box sets and single disc albums.
Vinyl condition will range from VG+ to NM as a rule, but a random VG record may slip through. We try to weed them out but our eyes aren't as good as they once were and we can't play grade this volume of LP. But yes, the vast majority of the records will play at a higher VG+ / NM- / NM level, guaranteed. If you are ever not happy with an album condition, please feel free to reach out to us about it.
Outer Sleeve (cover) condition will range from VG- to VG . . . again generally due to their former university music department library status. Most will be ex-library (University) albums with catalog markings and shelving wear. But the discs themselves are quite nice as a rule.
What is a VG / VG+ / NM- album? Well, in simplest terms, a VG record is one that plays well, delivers a "very good" listening experience, but ultimately an imperfect one. You'll hear some background noise on a VG album, may hear it over the softer passages even, but in general the background noise won't be enough to overwhelm (or even significantly detract from) the music. With VG+, you'll hear even less, and with NM- you'll hear practically none other during than the silent moments between movements. The vast majority of our discs play at the higher grades.
What is a VG- / VG cover? A VG- cover can have multiple issues, but for purposes of THIS listing, it means commonly found library markings, the occasional minor seam split, some minor fading of graphics, and the occasional minor crease or corner ding. A VG cover will be imperfect by less so than a VG-
If you're new to opera / cantatas, or are just starting out your classical library, this is a great way to go. You'll get a spread of composers, conductors, and performers on albums that deliver a pleasing listen.
NOTE #2:
We also offer a very similar listing for classical albums (non opera, non vocal). If you'd like to begin your classical collection, please see our other listings for this option.

Again, the albums in this listing are largely ex-university library holdings. Most covers will have a catalog number taped to them and/or a pocket for a "checkout card" affixed. These may or may not be removable.
These covers may also show signs of handling, shelving, corner bumps, minor seam splitting, etc. These covers are generally not in the "eye candy" category. But again they are not beater albums from the Goodwill bins either. They've generally been well cared for even if they do show their past life as (Chico State) library copies.
And the price is right!
These are all quality albums, good to great pressings, from across the major record labels.
In sum: All albums will be in at least VG condition. All covers will be in at least VG- condition as well, with most grading much higher . . . these are not "beater" albums. Almost all will play at the VG+ or NM- level for the majority of the album, with a VG section we may have missed on an occasional disc. You will hear the occasional pop or scratch on these records, the occasional noisy passage, but all will provide a pleasant listening experience. Covers will show sign of prior handling and shelving, will normally not be be "pretty" looking, and display evidence of their university library heritage. Again, almost all these discs are VG+ / NM- throughout.
Shipping:
FREE. All albums are shipped in a proper LP mailer. Records are removed from their sleeves to prevent sleeve damage in transit. Media Mail is used unless other arrangements are made. Sorry, no international shipping until things settle down post-pandemic. We've had way too many shipping delay and mandatory refunds. Just the way it is right now.
GRADING:
We use Goldmine Standards when grading our records. All grading unless otherwise noted is visual.
