Grading

All records sold are visually inspected and play graded. Both sides of 45's and 78's are played. A few random tracks on each side of the LP are played. Playback is with an Audio-Technica AT-LP120XUSB turn table with a balanced tone arm. All 45's & Lp's are played with an Audio- Technica AT-VMN95ML Microlinear Turntable Stylus. All 10" & 12" 78's with an Audio-Technica VMN40ML Microline Turntable Stylus specially manufacured for 78's. To block outside interference all listening and sound evaluation is done with Audio-Technica ATH-m50 studio headphones. Photos are provided and a detailed description is given of the record, label and cover. From there the buyer can grade the record.

I use Goldmine Grading standards for LP's and 45's and VJM Grading Standards for 78's which can be subjective defined as "based on or influenced by personal feelings, tastes, or opinions". To provide a more accurate grade records are listed with a split evaluation. Example VG/VG+/V grades side one VG and side two VG+ and V for the cover.

The records are clean with a Spin-Clean MK ll Record Washer before listening and grading has occurs. 

Shipping

All 45"s and Lp"s are removed from their covers and or sleeves to limit the possibility of splitting during shipping. Your purchase is then wrapped in bubble and shrink wrap. Your purchase is then placed in a commercial cardboard record mailer labeled with "Fragile" and "Do Not Bend" stickers.

All 78's are sandwiched between to cardboard protector sheets then wrapped in bubble and shrink wrap. Your purchase is then placed in a 6" x 12" x12" cardboard shipping box surrounded by shipping peanuts labeled with a "Fragile" sticker. This type of packaging for 78 rpm shellac records is demanded by 78 rpm buyers. These phonograph records are NOT vinyl records! The higher shipping fee is due to the over packaging of 78 rpm records which are extremely fragile when pressed in shellac.

All records are shipped USPS Media Mail or Priority Mail as per customer?s request.

All shipping cost varies by buyer location.

Shipping is free for all orders over $100.00.

All orders of 45's & LP's over $50.00 are insured.

All 78's reguardless of cost are insured.

Media Mail and Priority Mail shipping is offered for 45's, LP's and Cd's. All 78's orders are shipped Priorty Mail only to lessen the time and possible damage the shipment has in route.
