With his longtime band IMMORTAL, Olve Eikemo aka Abbath made history in Norwegian Black Metal. Now he is kicking out his 2nd full lenght album ''Outstrider'' onto the streets with his new band named ABBATH. Making a virtue out of necessity, the master simply hired new musicians and did the only logical and right thing to do, the flight forward! With the 8 tracks on ''Outstrider'' the musician Abbath does his own thing, stands out from IMMORTAL and takes the band ABBATH a big step forward. In terms of composition, Abbath frees himself from all constraints and lets his primal instincts run free. For a long time he didn't sound so like rock'n'roll and heavy metal as it did on ''Outstrider''. The guitars sound dirtier and more incisive, the drums more explosive and lively. In the overall picture, the album looks clear, differentiated and sharp like a razor. Anyone who has already seen our monochrome friend on the decline will be punished by his 2nd longplayer, that's for sure. The blue vinyl edition comes in a classy gatefold cover with hot foil stamping, a printed inner sleeve & is limited to 300 copies only.
