We never use other sellers' photos, so the item photographed is the item you will receive. Record grading is visually assessed. Sometimes we do listen to assist with grading. We utilize the VJM Record Grading System.  We understand that grading 78s, even within certain parameters, is still a somewhat subjective process. That is why we choose to offer a full SIXTY day money back free return policy for buyers within the United States and its territories. That way, you can purchase with the confidence that you will be satisfied or get a full refund. We will clean 78s prior to shipping, but further cleaning is recommended to your personal satisfaction. 

The shipping cost for 78s may be higher than you see elsewhere.  That is because we ship 78s with more protection than most, so that you don't end up disappointed with broken shellac in your package.  We have yet to have a 78 broken during shipment.  While there is a first for everything, we take the utmost care in packaging your item.  The shipping cost covers:

1) Archival quality Small/Thick High Density Polyethylene INNER SLEEVES. 

2) High clarity polyethylene 3 mil. thick archival quality heavy duty OUTER SLEEVES. (If a 78 has a corresponding sleeve, we will include it, although we cannot guarantee it was the original sleeve or that the sleeve is of a particular quality. If part of a book of 78s, we will specify that and include the book.)

3) A shippping box specifically designed to wrap around your record from all 4 directions.  This provides special protection for your item.  

4) Each 78, with protective inner and outer sleeves, are placed in an oversized, sealed bag that waterproofs your item.  It is taped closed to fit the box. 

5) Two cardboard inserts are used inside the box protecting the 78 on both the front and back.  If other sellers provide an insert, it is usually on just one side.  We feel that the 2nd insert more properly protects records from the shock that boxes occassionally are put through during transit.  

It is because of these extra steps that we charge extra for shipping, only to cover our costs.  IF your item happens to get damaged we will fully refund you after receiving photos of the damage.  Please retain the original packaging if there is damage.
