Joni Mitchell - Blue - 1971 - 1st US Pressing Vinyl LP - Reprise - VG
This listing is for an original US first pressing vinyl LP of the classic album Blue by Joni Mitchell.
It was released in 1971 by Reprise with catalog # MS 2038.
Two important signs that it's a first pressing are that there is no Warner Communications logo in rim text and the earliest copies were issued with a plain deep blue inner sleeve to match cover.
Record Condition:
Visible signs of surface wear in the way of various light scratches and a few small scuff marks.
Surface noise is present at times, but usually minimal.
There's also some light dust/dirt and a few finger print smudges, so a thorough cleaning would remove that and probably brighten the sound even more.
Clean center labels.
Industry Grade: Middle of the road to strong VG.
Jacket Condition:
Obvious signs shelf wear and age on edges, spine, and corners.
Ring wear is present.
Wear and blemishes present on the front and back covers.
Seam split on the top edge of the back side of the gatefold cover that's about 3" long (see photo).
Inner Sleeve: Original blue paper inner sleeve (Signs of wear and partial center seam split on the bottom edge)
Industry Grade: VG.
