My wife was involved in a school production of Oh, what a lovely war a few years back to mark the anniversary of the first world war.

I found it quite amusing that they could not get the music from the original theatre royal cast from way back in 1963.

They had to borrow my 1969 vinyl copy. They were totally taken aback that they could not get it on CD!

I watched the show with a great feeling of satisfaction knowing that the very talented, hard working pupils, learned every note and song from my 1969 original LP.

Vinyl has some superficial marks, I test played in its entirety and was delighted with the sound. The music and dialogue, for the most part was closer to NEAR MINT.

The cover has some light wear, that is not overbearing, considering it is from 1968, it looks very well indeed, as you can see from the photos. The spine lettering is very clear and crisp.

The Vintage MADE IN ENGLAND inner has some creases, but is anti static, and still fit for purpose. The blue lettering is near flawless.

These records are from our own private collection, we  known most of them since they where babies, so  we are in a good position to point out all of the good and not so good details!

We grade all our records as honesty as we can and  will point out all the little details that we think you, as a collector needs to know!

They say a picture is worth a thousand words! We upload loads of pictures for your consideration. We do not use stock photos, so please look at all pictures carefully! Use the zoom magnifer provided by eBay. What you see in the picture is exactly what you are buying, if you see something that you do not like, please do not buy!

We use the UK Record Collector Grading System for all our vinyl, I will not cut and paste this here, as you can goggle this very easily, instead I will explain sone misunderstandings, that arise from time to time.

Grade Excellent does not mean, New, or like New, this would be graded as Mint.

I rarely sell Mint,I only use this grade if the record is sealed and unopened,or if it has been very rarely,or never played.

I do however use Near Mint, I use this grade when I am absolutely delighted with the quality and audio playback of the vinyl.

A cut above grade Excellent!

Grade Excellent is a record that has been well looked after and stored by a conscientious collector and shows evidence of being played, quite a few times, but never abused, and handled very carefully.

Please let me explain, I have Rolling Stones albums from the 1960s, many of these are well over 50 years old and would be graded as EXCELLENT, on the other hand I have a much more recent, Happy Mondays album, that is totally mashed up and can never be graded as EXCELLENT, It can now only be used as what we call a collection filler!

Grade Very Good means reasonable wear or tear considering the age of the record or cover.

If you are buying anything below grade VG please have no expectations! The price should reflect the grade. I would only buy grade Good or below if I could not afford VG or Excellent.

If you are UK based and see a few Records that you like, we will be very happy to combine postage for you.

This is quite a cost effective way of collecting, you can buy up to 4 albums and the postage will be the same.

If you purchase more than 1 record, I will adjust your invoice to 4.20, this will cover the cost of Second Class and Signed for.

All our Records will be cleaned and ready for your turntable.All records will be enclosed in a clear protective outer cover.
