This is part of a big auction of Excello/Nashboro 45's I'm running this week. There are lots of rarities and few surprise items here. Take a look at these and keep an eye out for a Vee-Jay/Duke Records auction starting 5/22 and King/Federal auction in early June.
Here's the info on this item:
Release: Jerry McCain & His Upstarts - Things Ain't Right / Run Uncle John! Run
Format: 45 rpm 7" single
Year: 1956
Notes: More of an electric blues feel on this one - definitely in the Chuck Berry vein. Orange and dark blue labels. Has a "Dr. Jive" sticker on B-Side. I have not been able to determine if this is related to influential DJ and payola convictee Tommy Smalls, but the same sticker is on a dozen or so records that all came from a collection originating from WYBC in New Haven, CT.
Vinyl Condition: VG+, great looking vinyl. Very clean with just a couple of hairline scratches on side A, side B is nearly NM/EX. Plays great and sounds great. Labels are nice as well with just some light scuffing/dirtiness in a couple of spots. Does have mentioned sticker on the back. Could likely be removed, but I'm leaving it for possible historical interest. Very strong copy overall.
I want buying from me to be a good experience for you. I also know that condition can be very subjective, so I encourage you to see pics for exact condition details and ask questions if you need additional information. As always, the item you see is the one you will get. Please see my feedback, I think that will show that I am an accurate and fair grader and make sure my customers are happy.
I will combine shipping for anyone who wins more than one item. If you do need combined shipping, please wait for an invoice before paying.
