Essential for the synthwave music genre: FM-84 Atlas finally back on vinyl

FM84 Atlas is without a doubt one of the most important albums for the genre. Legendary album: Iconic cover art and music that is the essence of synhwave. 

The album is written by San Francisco-based producer Col Bennett. Other legends of the synth scene like Timecop1983 and Ollie Wride, whose vocals can be heard on several tracks, also contributed to the album.

If you are into synthwave you certainly know this album, but if you have recently become more into this kind of music, you must know that this is an iconic album. The first vinyl edition came out almost a rock after the release and instantly became a cult. So far 2 reissues have been released. Every series of this album released on vinyl sold out very quickly and after that it started to reach astronomical prices on the collectors market. At this moment we have a fourth pressing in a limited edition of 1500 copies. As most of EPR releases, record ships aside the sleeve in PVC overbag - not shrink-wrapped!

As assured by Electronic Purification Records - the specifications are exactly the same as for the first three series, ensuring consistency and quality. This is a release on two heavy black vinyl records. The records have been cut at 45 rpm. The well known Temple Of Disharmony studio is responsible for the mastering. All this makes the final product of the highest quality. It offers a beautiful clear sound in an analogue style.

You'll find a lot of great tracks on Atlas, like Arcade Summer, Goodbye and Wild Ones. One of the most beautiful compositions is of course Running In The Night - often considered the anthem of synthwave. Imagine what Running In The Night must sound like on vinyl.
