This is part of a big auction of Checker & Chess 45's I'm running this week. There are lots of rarities and few Chicago-area surprise items here. Take a look at these and keep an eye out for a Vee-Jay/DeLuxe Records auction starting 6/12 and King/Federal auction in late June. Here's the info on this item:
Release: Jimmy Binkley - Hey Hey Sugar Ray / Midnite Wail
Format: 45 rpm 7" single
Year: 1953
Notes: A pair of really cool jazz tracks with a little R&B sprinkled in, hard to find single on the Chance label. This was released in May '53, towards the end of the label's operation. Not many of the 7" version were ever produced.
Vinyl Condition: VG, vinyl itself looks really nice and and plays quite well. No skips, clicks, big pops, etc. Sounds good - has some light but persistent crackle. Barely noticeable on Side A, a little more noticeable during the quiet track on Side B The labels are a different story. They are very liquid damaged with some color loss and significant scuffing. They are still well attached though and as long as they aren't handled roughly should continue to display okay. It's nice that these exist in any condition and it's great if you are looking for a listener copy.
I want buying from me to be a good experience for you. I also know that condition can be very subjective, so I encourage you to see pics for exact condition details and ask questions if you need additional information. As always, the item you see is the one you will get. Please see my feedback, I think that will show that I am an accurate and fair grader and make sure my customers are happy.
I will combine shipping for anyone who wins more than one item. If you do need combined shipping, please wait for an invoice before paying.
