For auction is a stunning condition Fifth U.K. mono issue of The Beatles debut album- Please Please Me
I have never seen or heard a better condition copy - the record looks and sounds as if it was pressed last year rather than 59 years ago.
The original Ernest J Day sleeve is in really excellent condition with unmarked back and hardly any signs of wear.
The original use Emitex inner sleeve in VG+ condition
Record labels are in excellent condition with only minimal spindle wear.
Visually side one is excellent with only one visible mark - sonically it plays near mint (I have never before described a record of this age as NM, but this one has made me change my usual practice). It plays through not only without clicks sticks skips or jumps but also without any crackles apart from a couple in the dead wax at the beginning of each side and between a couple of tracks. I have brand new records that play with more noise.
Side two is unmarked and plays through as well as side one.
This is a chance to own a genuine 1963 Mono copy (and The Beatles always preferred mono) with all its natural sound.
