ALBUM PLAYED FOR AUDIO GRADING:
The Loud Cut Rubber Soul is a genuine rarity, and this pressing gives a great audio pleasure, and a particularly loud cut. The audio plays with incredibly strong, clear LOUD sound. Superb audio, every minute and track has been tested and there are no obvious sound blemishes. There is some light occasional static, but it is very light and very occasional. Wonderful audio, NO loud pops or clicks what so ever. I will give a detailed account below:
Side 1. starts off with 'Drive my car', and the audio is bright clear, amazing sound, with very little static in the run in, and very little during the intro. There are no loud pops or clicks.
There is some light static between tracks and then 'Norwegian Wood' sounds fantastic with minimal static. Super clear sound and no pops or clicks, and this is the track on Rubber Soul that so often suffers from a lot of surface noise and over playing. There is some very light static at the very start, the music is bright and clear.
'You wont See Me' sounds great, the music is so clear and bright. 'No Where Man' plays with brilliant audio, just some very light occasional static and no pops or clicks at all.
'Think For Yourself' again plays with great audio, as does 'The Word', no pops, clicks or obvious static, just super bright loud audio.
Leading into the delicate 'Michele', always a real test for Rubber Soul. This track plays with NO loud clicks or pops, NO distortion, or sound blurring. There is some light occasional background static and no pops or clicks.
This is a great audio performance. The music jumps out, with definition and clarity, particularly on the percussion instruments, and vocals which come through with tremendous power. As with the bass guitar and drums, whilst the guitars come through crisp and clear.
This great record plays up to the visual grading and beyond. Its a very enjoyable and loud press of this ultra rare vinyl. There are is some static but no obvious sound blemishes and no loud pops or clicks. A great all round example of this classic vinyl.
I would give the audio a grading of EXCELLENT to NEAR MINT.
THE RECORD - VISUAL GRADING
A great piece of glossy vinyl. There are a couple of the faintest handling marks and a couple of short very light hairlines, but certainly no needle or deep marks that would affect the sound. A great press of this extremely rare vinyl.
A lovely piece of HEAVY glossy vinyl. Deep clear grooves that can only be found on the original early pressings. The record has great shine and minimal handling marks.
VINYL TESTED FOR ANY SIGNS OF WARPING:
Yes, NONE visible what so ever when tested be sight and on a moving turntable.
LABELS
Splendid deeply coloured attractive examples. Very little wear around the hole areas, with with just some light fading and some light spindle traces to be found. This still fits very tightly around the record spindle. Great examples.
Graded at EXCELLENT to NEAR MINT.
COVER
Comes with original UK sleeve printed by Garrod & Lofthouse. This is a great complete example of the brilliant Rubber Soul cover. Laminated on the front only, and with the 1st press MONO / STEREO assignation on the rear bottom flip-back, stating PMC 1267 and PCS 3075. These covers rarely fared well, usually having heavy ring wear and tears, with a lot of yellowing to the background. Not this one! It has no tears or splits, again very hard to find.
It has minimal rubbing to the corners, and none to the spine, which is largely square and true, with all the text complete in tact. Very rare like this!
The rear cover has minimal discolouration or fading (clearly shown in the images) and NO ring wear, stains, writing, tears or sticker marks.
A great original first press example and extremely rare in this condition. There are a few creases on the font and a small laminate crack on the top right hand edge corner, but I would say these are mild.
Graded at EVERY GOOD PLUS to EXCELLENT.
INNER
Comes with The Original First Press Inner Sleeve with Polythene Lining, intact and in stunning condition. States: "USE EMITEX..." & "IMPORTANT - TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOUR MICROGROOVE RECORDS ...", as well as a replacement inner sleeve for added protection EXCELLENT condition, - NO tears around the die cut opening, NO seem splits and NO wear at the top. virtually no discolouration. A great example.
RARITY
Original First Ever Uk pressing from 1965 with original cover, inner sleeve and great original HEAVY PRESSED Vinyl, with Original Yellow and Black Parlophone Labels. Finding a PRESSING in this great condition throughout is EXTREMELY rare and 1st press LOUD CUTS in great condition are getting increasingly rare.

We aim to describe all records as accurately as possible, and offer a full refund on return if for any reason you are not completely happy with the item description.
+
VINYL SOUND - PLEASE NOTE:
Highest quality vinyl with clear sound is rare, and what we always aim for. We only sell records that play with TOP AUDIO performance; super clear sound uninterrupted by hiss or other interference. Even with the cleanest pressing you will find occasional static or occasional light tics during playback, caused by a build of dust in the grooves. This is clearly different from the distortion, loud pops, repeating tics or clicks that are found on heavily played and worn pieces of vinyl. Any static build up will reduce when played, and we advise a light clean between plays for optimal performance.
