Secret Public was the name of Buzzcocks fan service. The label was created to issue special products to members of the fan service. ESP was the prefix for the catalogue number.....ESP 002 is the 'Internet Album' released to Secret Public members in 2002 and later reissued on vinyl by Damaged Goods.
The idea for the single came about when 'Chronology' producer and compiler,Tony Barber, realised there were too many tracks, so he did a deal with Nigel Reeve at EMI to put out 3 of them to the fan service. This single was pressed by the band at the ASL pressing plant in Islington and not by EMI.  There were 569 copies pressed of which 450 went out to Secret Public members. The rest were given away by the band members.
Side A recorded Sept 1977, B1 recorded July 1979, B2 recorded July 1978.
