This BIG STAR Radio City album is a rare gem for any power pop music collector! Released in 1974, this LP is a first pressing and features the iconic tracks that made Big Star a legendary band. This is a DJ copy and is marked as such on the side 2 record label and has a punch on the top right and 6 pin pricks on the top left of the cover.
The vinyl is in VG+ condition and looks very clean. There are no paper scuffs, scratches or visible imperfections. The plain paper sleeve shows minor wear and discoloring, and has a 1/4 in tear on the middle of one side. There is some ring wear on the top and bottom of the cover as well as some wear to the top and bottom of the cover, but nothing terribly distracting. There are no seam splits, but there is some sticker residue. The cover and vinyl still have a nice luster.
The record plays well. It has some surface noise at the beginning of side 1 and 2, but does not affect play of the tracks. It plays very well on my high-end Linn turntable.
This album comes from my personal collection of rare rock, punk and indie records purchased around the world since 1985.
