SETH have taken a whole eight years to come back with a true masterpiece of modern Black Metal called ''La Morsure Du Christ''. The band from Bordeaux is undisputedly one of the spearheads of French black metal. After all, they managed to make it palatable to an international audience at the same time as BLUT AUS NORD. Not to mention that already their debut album ''Les Blessures De l'Ame'' in 1998 already sounded more modern and groundbreaking than many other bands today. With their 6th studio full lenght album ''La Morsure Du Christ" they want to close the circle that SETH opened 23 years ago. Thematically, the 7 tracks deal with the great fire of the Parisian cathedral Notre Dame, which almost completely destroyed it. SETH see this as the culmination of the downfall of Western Christianity, which has become apparent over the course of the last 20 years. The lyrics are also in the baroque Alexandrian meter. Thematically already heavy fare, which is only surpassed by the merciless music. On ''La Morsure Du Christ'', SETH combine everything that makes good, epic black metal, without treading on well-trodden paths. Here as 400 copies limited noble, black 180g double vinyl edition with etched D-side. Comes with gatefold cover & 16-page LP booklet.
