This Zon-o-phone record is a rare title Old Black Joe and is the early version that looks very much like a Berliner record. The back has the "Condition of Lease" details.
The song is sung from the perspective of an old black slave named Joe. He is nearing his death and is sad because all of his fellow slaves, that he grew up with and befriended are dead and gone.
There is a scratched groove that may cause a skip but the sound of the record is loud and clear.
A very nice version of these rare early historical records.
