I have a collection of records that belonged to my great grandmother. They’re 78 rpm records in two books from around the 1940’s. I believe they’re shellac because they’re a little thicker and heavier than the vinyl records that I have.
One of the books has some spine damage as seen in the pics. 20 records total.
The manufacturer and titles are as follows.
5 Columbia.
Kay Kyser and his orchestra, Jingle Jangle Jingle, He wears a pair of silver wings, can’t get out of this mood, moonlight mood, you’re so good to me, Pushin’ sand, praise the lord and pass the ammunition, I came here to talk for Joe, let’s get lost, the fuddy duddy watchmaker.
1 Okeh.
Don Brown, Tommy Tucker time, just as though you were here, there will never be another you.
3 BlueBird.
Abe Lyman and his Canadians, amen, he wears a pair of silver wings, Freddy Martin and his orchestra, rose o’day waltz, miss you,
Mitchell Ayer’s and his fashions-in-music, blue lovebird, down by the o-hi-o (o,my,o!)
1 Capitol, Johnny Mercer, on the atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe, conversation while dancing
5 Decca.
Guy Lombardo and his Canadians, yip-I-addy-I-ay, you and I, Glenn Gray, my shining hour, my heart tells me, Andrews Sisters with Vic Schoenberg and his orchestra, shoo-shoo baby, down in the valley, Guy Lombardo and his Canadians, take it easy, speak low, Jimmy Dorsey and his orchestra, My ideal, Be same mucho
5 Vistor.
Vaughn Monroe and his orchestra, cabin in the sky, taking a chance on love, Freddy Martin and his orchestra, white Christmas, Abraham, Jan Savitt and his top hatters, me and my Melinda, tomorrows sunrise, Allen Jones, the donkey serenade, giannina mia, Xavier Cugat and his orchestra, siboney rumba, Havana’s calling me.
All records are in nice shape and a few have some small scratches from 40+ years of use.
Please feel free to send me a message with any questions or if you want some more pics.
