This is a very early Stereo copy of The Beatles first album. It is the 4th press from 1963, with the new style Black and Yellow labels but without the later ‘Sold in the U.K.’ text.

These 4th press issues were still very early in the pressing run, and have very low stampers as with this copy.

The original sleeve is in lovely condition and merits an EX grading.

The use Emitex inner is in VG + condition

The record labels are clean with only slight rubbing on side one and minimal spindle wear

Record pressed with very early 1GR and 1M stampers.

Visually side one grades as VG but only because of a long but shallow scuffs scratch. It is not feelable and has absolutely no effect on the superb sound quality of the side. Plays through with only a couple of crackles between tracks but no ticks, sticks skips or jumps. Super clear sound.

Side 2 grades visually as VG+ and again plays superbly.

A great sounding very early copy of an iconic album
