This listing is for a vintage vinyl LP of the self-titled debut album by the band Rush.
This is a US first pressing released in the US in 1974 by the label Mercury with catalog # SRM-1-1011.
Record Condition:
Obvious signs of visible surface wear are present in the way of mostly hairline scratches as well as various scuff marks.
Clean center labels.
While I did not listen to this album in full, in the spots that I checked, surface noise is present at times.
A thorough cleaning would probably brighten the sound a bit more.
Industry Grade: Either a low end VG or probably closer to what I would call VG-.
Given that there really aren't many deep groove scratches, I'm hesitant to grade it lower than that. But as always that is subjective.
Jacket Condition:
Obvious signs of wear present on the jacket including on edges, spine, and corners.
Only very minor ring wear is present.
There's a complete seam split on the top edge of the jacket.
The bottom edge of the jacket only has the very beginnings of a split at the tip.
The back cover's paste-on back graphics is starting to come off by coming unglued, although this could probably be repaired if desired (see photos).
Inner Sleeve: Generic paper inner sleeve.
Industry Grade: I would grade the jacket as a G or G+ jacket. Probably closer to a G+ just because the front cover is still relatively clean and only the top portion has the full seam split.
Please see the various images on this listing for further details on the condition of the record and jacket.
The record will ship outside of the jacket within a modern inner sleeve. This will prevent any further wear to the jacket or the record.
