This is part of a large auction of blues, R&B and a few rock n' roll 10" 78's. Almost all of these came from the collection of a 1950's Yale radio DJ. Across the board, they have been played very little.

Release: Jesse Powell Orchestra w/ Fluffy Hunter - Love Is A Fortune / The Walkin’ Blues

Format: 78 rpm 10" shallac record

Year: 1952

Notes: Green & gold label first pressing. The first single by Powell's group. Jump blues with the great Fluffy Hunter on vocals. You literally can't help but tap your foot to this as soon as it comes on. B-side is a little slower, but with some cool guitar work. 

Record Condition: E+, The record plays great with great sound with almost no surface noise. Very little wear at all, just a couple of light surface scuffs. Labels are clean as well, no marks, tears or obvious spindle marks. There is some very light label scuffing. Very nice copy overall.

Sleeve Condition: VG, original King sleeve, but not sure if it's original to this record. Has some wrinkling and light discoloration, but no tears or splits. Displays well overall.

All records I sell have been personally cleaned and play tested. I am an experienced grader and use the VJM grading system, but please see pictures as so much of this is subjective. These will be shipped in sleeves in a cardboard sandwich in a box for maximum protection.
