This is part of a large auction of blues, R&B and a few rock n' roll 10" 78's. Almost all of these came from the collection of a 1950's Yale radio DJ. Across the board, they have been played very little.
Here's the info on this item:
Release: Danny Overbea w/ King Kolax & Orch. - Stomp And Whistle / Ebony Chant
Format: 78 rpm 10" shallac record
Year: 1954
Notes: Maroon label first pressing. The 5th of 6 singles released by Overbea on Checker in the early-to-mid 50's. All of which are great. This is one of his harder to find records. They have an uptempo dance sound with some great guitar work.
Record Condition: E+, The record plays great with great sound, very little wear. No scratches, cracks, chips, etc. Just a couple of very light scuffs. Label is very clean as well, no marks, tears or obvious spindle marks. Really nice copy overall.
All records I sell have been personally cleaned and play tested. I am an experienced grader and use the VJM grading system, but please see pictures as so much of this is subjective. These will be shipped in sleeves in a cardboard sandwich in a box for maximum protection.
I want buying from me to be a good experience for you. I also know that condition can be very subjective, so I encourage you to see pics for exact condition details and ask questions if you need additional information. As always, the item you see is the one you will get. Please see my feedback, I think that will show that I am an accurate and fair grader and make sure my customers are happy.
I will combine shipping for anyone who wins more than one item. If you do need combined shipping, please wait for an invoice before paying.
