This is part of a large auction of blues, R&B and a few rock n' roll 10" 78's. Almost all of these came from the collection of a 1950's Yale radio DJ. Across the board, they have been played very little.
Here's the info on this item:
Release: Floyd Dixon and His Band - Hey Bartender / Is It True
Format: 78 rpm 10" shallac record
Year: 1955
Notes: Back label first pressing. The best know track from Dixon who was born in Texas, but recorded for several West Coast labels in the 1950's. It was covered by the Blues Brothers in 1978 and became a country hit for Johnny Lee in the early 80's.
Record Condition: E+, The record plays great with great sound, almost no surface noise at all. Just some light cosmetic hazing on side and a couple of very small surface scuffs. Labels are very clean as well, no marks, tears or obvious spindle marks. This is a top notch copy of this rarity.
All records I sell have been personally cleaned and play tested. I am an experienced grader and use the VJM grading system, but please see pictures as so much of this is subjective. These will be shipped in sleeves in a cardboard sandwich in a box for maximum protection.
I want buying from me to be a good experience for you. I also know that condition can be very subjective, so I encourage you to see pics for exact condition details and ask questions if you need additional information. As always, the item you see is the one you will get. Please see my feedback, I think that will show that I am an accurate and fair grader and make sure my customers are happy.
I will combine shipping for anyone who wins more than one item. If you do need combined shipping, please wait for an invoice before paying.
