R.D. Hendon 10” demo acetate 78 I Ain’t Got A Lick Of Sense When It Come To Women b/w Return My Broken Heart Recorded on 6/3/1953 ACA Audio Company Of America demo label Two great previously unreleased recordings. Two priceless unissued recordings. Two pricelesss previously unissued sides. Two Great Priceless unissued sides with a cross between Honky Tonk, Country Bop and early Rockabilly!
This acetate was sent to 4 Star but they never did anything with it. Both sides were rejected, and one side they decided to use Texas Tyler version. Both sides were rejected by 4 Star.
Return My Broken Heart was later cut on Starday with a much different sound, and I Ain’t Got A Lick was recorded for 4 Star with also a much different sound. The record is in VG+++ condition. It must have stood in 4 Star studio warehouse unplayed for over 70 years.
