This is part of a large auction of blues, doo-wop & R&B 10" 78's. There are quite a few on Atlantic, a nice group of Peacock and some other great records. Almost all of these came from the collection of a 1950's Yale radio DJ. Across the board, they have been played very little.

Format: 78 rpm 10" shallac record

Year: 1957

Notes: Red & black label first pressing. Early single and the first on Atlantic for this singer known as the West Texas Wild Man. A-side is a jaunty track with a Elvis-style vocal. The b-side has more of an early 60's feel to it. Very interesting stuff. 

Record Condition: E+, The record itself is in really nice shape & plays very well, doesn't seem to have been played much at all. There are a couple of very light scuffs on the "Mind Again" side and some light, but visible cosmetic hazing likely due to humid storage. Sound is clean and clear. Labels are also very clean with no writing/tears/scuffs. This is a really nice copy overall.

All records I sell have been personally cleaned and play tested. I am an experienced grader and use the VJM grading system, but please see pictures as so much of this is subjective. These will be shipped in sleeves in a cardboard sandwich in an oversize box for maximum protection.
