Born of working class roots in Edinburgh, Scotland, The Exploited emerged from the punk underground in 1981 with the release of their debut LP, Punk's Not Dead. A direct reaction to Crass' Punk Is Dead, The Exploited brought to the early 80s all the fire, speed and attitude of 1977's first wave, with a street / Oi! swagger that was fresh. Peaking at number 20 on the UK charts, Punk's Not Dead was the best selling independent record of 1981. Another essential piece of the UK Oi! scene of the early 1980s

 

• Originally released in 1981 ‘Punks Not Dead’ hit No.1 in the Independent Chart and No.20 in the UK National Chart.

• Now restored to its original track listing which features new versions of Indie Chart hit singles ‘Army Life’ (No.6) and ‘Exploited Barmy Army’ (No.4).

• The inner bag features tons of clippings and memorabilia from the era.

• Still touring across the globe to this day and still fronted by the legend that is Wattie Buchan.
