For devotees of a Northern Soul test pressing this is a gem. Lee Bates New Orleans gem “Why Don’t You Write” has been a long time Northern/Rare Soul masterpiece. A recent trawl through the mastertape unveiled a previously unknown version by Alias Ducie who composed the track, almost certainly recorded as a demo guide vocal for Lee.
This is its’ first ever Worlwide release and the test presses were its’ first ever presentation to the World,
