Richard Wagner: Der Ring des Nibelungen
Das Rheingold, Die Walküre, Siegfried, Götterdämmerung
Herbert von Karajan conducting the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.
With Vickers, Talvela, Janowitz, Ludwig, Stewart, Brilioth and many more.
German DGG stereo pressing from the early 70s.
Four separate slipcases and a hardback book in a massive slipcase box.
Where
present, innersleeves have dates from 1972 imprinted.
I assume that
makes this a first pressing, as Götterdammerung to my knowledge
originally
was issued in late 1970 and DGG certainly decided to sell
off remaing single boxes first,
before releasing this mammoth of a complete recording.
Since this really is a massive article! Weighs almost 8Kg without packaging!
Condition Box: VG+ to EX. Compartably light general wear. Light abrasions, minimal staining.
Condition Slipcases: EX. Light shelf wear only..
Condition Vinyl: NM. Could be an entirley unplayed set, no spindle wear, flawlessly presreved surfaces throughout.
Condition Book: EX. Only the paper envelope has wear. The book itself is close to NM.

A note
about my record-grading:
I
usually only visually grade the LPs under strong light and I only
playgrade them ( i.e. the portions that seem to have signs of usage),
if I can't be sure of their actual condition.
If records show
stronger signs of soiling I'll professionally clean them (Okki Nokki
RCM), but I'm not doing this if it's obviously only dust, as I know
that collectors usually prefer their
very own way of
record-cleaning.
My goal is to always decribe the records
appropriately and I will name every visible and/or audible defect in
my detailed description. If regardless of my precautions
you
should ever be dissatisfied with the condition of a record, please
contact me before leaving negative or neutral feedback to give me the
chance to resolve your query.
I'm confident, however, that this
will hardly ever be the case. I've been selling records for many
years now and so far complaints fortunately have been the utter
exception!
