Effie Smith previously unissued 12" Metal demo acetate 78 Honey Do You Want It That Way - 2 different takes
This was an audition demo submitted by Effie to 4 Star label to get a recording contract, but they rejected it and never got released. At the start of each side, Effie says this record is for audition session only The playing grooves of this acetate are in VG+++ condition.
There are no matrix numbers on the demo or old sleeve. One side of label has “Effie” and song title in dead wax, and other side has B Take in dead wax. Two priceless recordings that can only be heard on this probably one of a kind demo.
It must have stood in 4 Star studio warehouse untouched and unplayed for over 70 years.
