Hello - Welcome to my vinyl Auction/BUY IT NOW/Single/Job-lot Listing...

**The first grade is for the media (the vinyl) and the second is for the sleeve. (E.g., VG VG+) Vinyl: There are likely scuffs, background noise, marks, light scratches, and occasional clicks. However, there is nothing close to being jacked up or unplayable. LP Covers /Inner Sleeves: Sleeves may have seam splits, dings, corner bends, ring wear and the like, but any major flaw (should there be any) will be outlined in the description. Printed inner sleeves may have seam splits, fraying, rips, and bends. Age plays a huge part in the condition of a record. My vinyl listings are almost always comprised of 40+ year-old records, which is worth bearing in mind**

***The deck I use for playtesting is an Audio-Technica LP120XUSB-B***

_______________________________________________________________

Bauhaus - In the Flat Field (1981, Italy, Expanded Music EX5, 4AD CAD 13, LP, Album, Stereo) VG VG Italian import; solid play copy. The vinyl is a typical VG with scuffs/marks/surface scratches and occasional background noise; no skips/jumps. The sleeve is a lower-end VG with corner and spine wear and general ageing

Buzzcocks - Love Bites (1978, UK, United Artists, UAG30197, LP, Embossed Sleeve) VG+ VG Original September '78 UK press - with insert. The vinyl is in great shape - the sleeve has ageing and overall wear

Crass - Christ the Album / Well Forked but not Dead (1982, UK, BOLLOX 2U2, 2 x Vinyl, LP) VG VG Solid copy - comes with the original poster

Damned - Damned Damned Damned (1986, Germany, Stiff, 6.23316, Repress, LP) VG VG Sleeve in shrink. The vinyl is very solid, plays well - plain inner sleeve

Damned - Machine Gun Etiquette (1979, UK, Chiswick, CWK 3011, Printed Inner, First Press A1/B1) VG VG+ Good play copy: The vinyl is scuffed and marked, with spindle marks, light scratches and background noise - with that said, it plays without skips and jumps. It still sounds good - or it does on my turntable. Original U.K. first press with inner sleeve. Sleeve in shrink - some wear around the edges, and slight corner dings - but nothing severe. The inner is in great shape. No writings/markings on the sleeve or labels. Only two are currently for sale on Discogs and none are available on USA eBay

Gary Numan - The Pleasure Principal (1979, US, ATCO, SD38-120, LP, Specialty Press) VG VGPrinted inner - vinyl has a slight warp that doesn't affect play. Good play copy

Gary Numan - I, Assassin (1982, US, ATCO 90014-1, LP, AR pressing) VG+ VG+

Printed inner

Generation X - Generation X (1978, US, Chrysalis CHR 1169, Demo, LP) VG+ VG+

Sleeve has 'Demonstration Not For Sale' in gold lettering on the bottom front; Chrysalis inner sleeve

Human League - DARE (1982, US, A&M / Virgin SP6-4892, LP, Terra Haute Press, Gatefold) VG+ VG

With printed inner - all round good copy; sleeve has faded in parts and has one or two light blue blotches on the inside of the gatefold (where the record goes)

Japan - Adolescent Sex (1978, US, Hansa Ariola America SW50037, LP) VG VG

Sleeve has 2.5" x .5" sticker on the front, maybe a store sticker, looks like a code? (see photo) Plain white inner

Killing Joke - Killing Joke (1980, US, Editions EG EGS109, Malicious Damage, LP) VG+ VG+

Plain inner - very good original US pressing, sounds great

Lydia Lunch - In Limbo (1984, UK, Doublevision DVR5, 12" 45rpm, Mini-LP) VG VG

Great record by the ever brilliant, Lydia Lunch

MDC - Millions of Dead Cops (1982, US, R Radical Records, MDC-1, LP, Reissue) VG VG

Still sounds excellent, great play copy. The sleeve has ring wear and overall ageing; plain inner

New Order - Power Corruption & Lies (US, 1983, Factory (US) FACTUS 12, Translucent) VG VG+

The vinyl has a couple of prominent scuffs - see photos. However, they do not affect play. I played the album (Audio-Technica LP120XUSB-B) and apart from some background noise and the occasional crackle, it plays very well. Labels are clean. The sleeve is very sound. A slight crease and a little corner and edge wear, but nothing severe. The spine is good. The custom inner is also good. No writing/scribbles/rips anywhere on the LP. Published by BeMusic

Passions - Michael & Miranda (1980, UK, Fiction FIX003, 2383573, LP) VG+ VG+

Excellent synth-pop LP from a band generally known only for the single 'I'm in Love with a German Film Star." Original UK Fiction pressing in great shape - with insert

Passions - Thirty Thousand Feet Over China (1981, Germany, Metronome, 0060.451, LP) VG+ VG+

PIL - Flowers of Romance (1981, Canada, Warner Bros, XBS3536, Cinram Press, LP) VG+ VG

Mis-press - sleeve is not the original LP sleeve, instead it's the 12" single sleeve of the same name. Apparently, 100 of these came out of the pressing plant. The vinyl is in good shape

Sex Pistols - The Great Rock 'N' Roll Swindle (U.K. 1979, Virgin, VD2510, 2 x Vinyl, LP, Stereo, Gatefold, with Insert) VG VG

The vinyl is well-played with scuffs, superficial scratches, marks, and spindle marks. I played the whole album: It plays without jumps/skips/pops—it has background noise at times and the occasional crackle (my turntable is an Audio-Technica LP120XUSB-B). The gatefold sleeve is solid. Some ageing, corners and slight ring wear; a small dent on the inside of the sleeve. Plain inners are fine. The insert is good, slight crease on the bottom right. No writing on the sleeve or labels. Labels are clean. This copy has three stickers - see photos in close-ups. This press is quite different to the multiple 1979 UK pressings. This press does NOT have "TOWNHOUSE" or "A PORKY PRIME CUT" on any runouts. Unlike many other presses, this comes with plain white inners. Instead, it has an insert, that has the correct track listing. The incorrect track listing inside the gatefold is in four colored (yellow, pink, blue and yellow) boxes instead of the usual yellow text on a black background. This version has blue text written on the back sleeve as opposed to no text on other versions. Inside the gatefold has “(This soundtrack does not include all the songs from the film.)” Track D3 also has vocals from "Kids Auditioning at Duchess Theatre June 1978". The track listing on the sleeve is not correct. The correct track listing is found on the insert and labels. The labels also state "Sorry about incorrect track listing on sleeve - It's another swindle!" ℗ 1979 Virgin Records Ltd. © Matrixbest Ltd. Runouts are etched

Stranglers - The Raven (1979, UK, United Artists, UAG30262, Map/Cartoon Inner, LP) VG VG

Fine play copy with unusual inner sleeve - original UK pressing

Suicide - Suicide (1999, US, Red Star Records, RS700-1, Reissue, Remaster, Ltd Edition, LP) VG+ VG+

Great copy: Second US Reissue of the original US pressing, with two extra tracks

Vice Squad - Stand Strong Stand Proud (1982, UK, Riot City Records, ZEM104, EMI-0C062-07, LP) VG+ VG+

All round great copy - sounds fantastic

Wedding Present - Bizarro (US, 1989, RCA 2173- 1R, Printed RCA Inner LP) VG+ VG+

Very nice copy all around. There is a bit of smudging on the vinyl, but nothing serious. The sleeve and inner sleeve have a notch cut on the bottom left (see photo.) Only three are currently for sale on eBay US - all over $89+

PLEASE... PLEASE READ ALL NOTES BEFORE BIDDING/BUYING

The following guidelines apply to all my vinyl record listings. I grade each record individually using the Discogs goldmine grading guide, which many of you will be aware of. For those who aren’t, please see the guide at the end of this item description or visit How to Grade Items: Determine the Condition of Records on the Discogs website. I have been as accurate and transparent as possible in terms of grading. Although I've sold records in the past, I’ve never been a professional seller as such. If there is a problem, it will be my oversight rather than a deliberate attempt to mislead. I have stated the year, label, region of pressing, and other details, but not always whether it’s the first, second, third, etc. issue.) Overall, I have tended to be conservative with the grading, which has been partly visual - I have given it my best shot. I do not claim to be infallible. I know what each of my listed records is worth (certainly a ballpark figure.) However, please feel free to make an offer (if available.) All serious offers will be considered, so don't be shy. And by that, I don't mean knocking off fifty dollars on a ninety-dollar listing, or something equally as derisory. I do like to offer a bargain, but you know, there's a limit to my generosity.

***IMPORTANT SHIPPING AND PACKAGING INFORMATION***

Please allow FIVE business days for shipping. Generally, I only mail on the weekend - though I do my best to mail midweek. I work as a high school teacher which often (including during summer) makes weekday visits to the post office impossible. I will always keep you informed of the shipping progress. I keep shipping and handling costs to a minimum but in the last year or so rising mail prices and the ever-more costly packaging materials mean the overall shipping costs have somewhat increased. The shipping price includes packing materials and time. I combine shipping.

Check my feedback for reassurance. Over two separate accounts, I first started buying and selling on eBay in October 2003. During that time, I have yet to receive any negative, or even neutral, feedback (Although, there's usually a first time for everything.) Please be so kind as to contact me before leaving any negative feedback. I will always try and find an agreeable solution for you.

If you have any questions, please ask and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Also, if you'd like more photos, let me know and I will sort them - close-ups of LPs, sleeves, things like that, no problem. Please note that if you are new to eBay or have less than five feedback or downright crumby feedback, please message me before bidding. I reserve the right not to sell or respond to those people I suspect to be scammers. I will not engage with those who are impolite, abrasive, or employ unwarranted profanity. This applies to both pre-sale and post-sale, should you get that far.

PAYPAL PAYMENT VERY MUCH PREFERRED

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS, PLEASE MESSAGE ME BEFORE BIDDING

DOMESTIC ITEMS SENT BY MEDIA MAIL UNLESS OTHERWISE REQUESTED: FOR ANY SPECIAL SHIPPING REQUEST, THE BUYER COVERS THE EXTRA SHIPPING COST OVER THE AMOUNT LISTED. QUOTED SHIPPING AND HANDLING RATE IS FOR USA CUSTOMERS ONLY

If any of the above notes and descriptions are not to your liking - please don't buy or bid. Very occasionally, buyers complain about something clearly stated in the listing. I find such complaints as infuriating as students who moan about a grade when it’s clear they haven’t fully read the question

PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT MY VINYL LISTINGS - AND THE PAINTINGS ARE MY WORK

Cheers!

GRADING GUIDE PART A

GRADING GUIDE PART B (DISCOGS)

Mint (M)

The item and container are perfect in every way. To qualify as mint, the item must never have been played and is possibly still sealed. Mint should be used sparingly as a grade, if at all. Note that an item can be sealed and not be in mint condition.

Near Mint (NM)

The item is nearly perfect. Near Mint (NM) media has more than likely never been played, and if it has, there will be no imperfections during playback. The item should show no obvious signs of wear. The cover or container can have very minor defects, but it should have no folds, seam splits, scratches, or other noticeable similar defects. The same should be true of any other inserts, such as posters, lyric sleeves, etc. Many dealers won’t give a grade higher than NM, implying (perhaps correctly) that no item is ever truly perfect.

Very Good Plus (VG+)

The item will show some signs that it was played and handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Any defects are cosmetic and do not affect the actual playback. In theory, a Very Good Plus (VG+) item should sound almost the same as a near-mint (NM) one. Surfaces may show some signs of wear, such as slight scuffs or very light scratches, and slight warps that do not affect play.

Very Good (VG)

The item’s defects will be more pronounced. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song’s intro and fade but will not overpower the music. Wear will start to be noticeable, such as with light scratches on vinyl (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. Labels, covers, and sleeves may be marred by writing or have attached tape, stickers, and residue. However, a VG item will not have all these problems simultaneously.

Good (G), Good Plus (G+)

An item in Good (G) or Good Plus (G+) condition can be played without skipping, but it will have significant surface noise, scratches, crackling, or visible wear. A container, cover, or sleeve will have scratches or seam splits, especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, or other defects will also be present.

Poor (P), Fair (F)

The item is cracked, badly warped, and won’t play through without skipping or repeating. The container or cover could be cracked, water-damaged, and heavily marred by wear or writing. If it is a vinyl record, the album covers and inner sleeves are fully split, crinkled, and written upon. Based only on this condition, poor (P) or fair (F) records are generally worth very little.
