Rush - The Albums: 1989-1996 Vinyl LP Box Set
Description

LIMITED GLOBAL PRINT RUN WAS SOLD OUT SHORTLY AFTER PRE-ORDER
NOW OUT OF PRINT AND FUTURE BOX SET PRESSINGS ARE UNCERTAIN

Released on November 1st, 2024, this amazing Rush box set includes the first four albums that Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, and Neil Peart recorded for Atlantic Records before their hiatus in 1997. Housed in a sturdy slipcase box, the artwork was designed by award-winning artist and long-time band collaborator Hugh Syme. For this release, Hugh designed reimagined cover artwork for each album that is beautifully printed on heavy card stock.

This box set includes reissues of 4 iconic albums where the original and subsequent reissues are all incredibly expensive and difficult to find. The limited press run of this box set was sold out from both the artist and manufacturer websites shortly after preorder ended. As of November 26th, my contacts at the distributor say they are not aware of plans to produce more box sets.

The titles in this box set include:

PRESTO Rush’s thirteenth studio album was released in 1989, is gold-certified and reached No. 16 on the Billboard. The vinyl is housed in a paper inner sleeve that contains fabulous iconography on one side and song lyrics on the reverse. ROLL THE BONES Released in 1991, this album peaked at No. 3 in the U.S., No. 10 in the U.K. and No. 11 in Canada, with the title track reaching No. 9 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart. Similar to above, this vinyl is also housed in a paper inner sleeve with printed lyrics. COUNTERPARTS One of the band’s highest-charting albums, this release landed at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, was certified platinum, and received a 1994 GRAMMY® Award nomination for Best Rock Instrumental Performance for the track Leave That Thing Alone. Housed within poly-lined paper sleeves, this title spans two discs where the fourth side is an unplayable etching. Song lyrics are printed on a separate sheet. TEST FOR ECHO The group's sixteenth studio album was released in 1996 and reached No. 5 on the Billboard chart. The title track took the No. 1 spot on the Mainstream Rock Track chart. This title is also housed within poly-lined paper sleeves and spans two discs with an etched fourth side and separate lyrics sheet. How We Grade

Record grading is not a definite science and is subjective. We try our best to be as accurate as possible and follow the Goldmine Grading System described in the table below. We provide high quality photographs so you can gauge condition for yourself. In the item description, we do our best to describe condition issues that may not be obvious in the images.

Grade Cover (Outer Sleeve) Media (Vinyl) Near Mint (NM) Nearly perfect, no writing, no after-purchase stickers, no markings, free of creases, ring wear, and seam splits. Shiny/glossy, no visible surface defects, label is centered, very little (if any) spindle marks, plays without significant surface noise. Excellent (E) There may be very slight ring wear or discolorization that is barely noticable. There may be slight wear, like very minor corner or seam wear or a bottom split that is less than an inch long. There may be a discount notch, drill hole, or corner cut. Slight signs of wear, including light scuffs or very light scratches that do not affect playability. May have a slight warp that does not impact listening experience. Very Good (VG) Imperfections are more noticable than above. Ring wear, corner or edge damage will be obvious. Some creases may be visible and seam splits may appear on more than one side, but are not obvious. There may be some writing too. Usually have some scratches that may be audible, especially in soft passages and during song gaps. Any noise does not overpower the music and is otherwise a fine listening experience. Minor writing, tape or a sticker can detract from the label. Good (G) There is significant ring wear, corner and edge damage and heavy wear. There may be heavy writing, tape, or stickers, or residue left from a removed sticker. Seam splits are obvious and significant. Plays through without skipping but there is significant surface noise and the label may be worn. The surface has long since lost its luster. Fair (F), Poor (P) Heavily damaged. Entire seams may be split. Significant warping, noise and skipping.

We believe the bar is set so high with the mint grade that we don't use it. As Goldmine says, "These are absolutely perfect in every way. Often rumored but rarely seen, mint should never be used as a grade unless more than one person agrees that the record or sleeve truly is in this condition."
