We pride ourselves on auctioning only the highest grade records and items, you will not see anything listed here below EX+ condition, unles the item is extremely rare. You will not see worn covers, warped records or scratched records. We simply do not bother with them.

We list in many cases, 'Archived' & 'mint' condition items, we are able to source from private collections all over the UK. So we hope you can be put at ease that what you are bidding on is of the highest quality.

We play through most of the records, unless the item is clearly mint, or sealed..in which case we don't play them, thus maintaining their 'unplayed' status!  Obviously with some of these rare items there will be the odd 'anomoly' along the way , the odd little static pop or lead in 'sizzle' for a split second.. nothing is perfect we find! all systems differ, but we aim to describe these as accurately as possible for you.... PLEASE ENJOY THIS ITEM YOU ARE NOW LOOKING AT..

THE VINYL    EX+   INCREDIBLE  CONDITION

As you can see, this vinyl is the EARLIEST ILPS UK pressing -IT remains in SUPERB condition everywhere.

This pressing is a superb vinyl which has retained its amazing glossy sheen and finish. There is no dulling anywhere and overall it is in incredible condition for an LP of this age. The edges are silky smooth, typical of these vintage pressings. We are seing fewer and fewer copies of this LP, so rarely do we see a copy at all, let alone like this. SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT PRESS

There are a few light spider lines around the centre hole, but no wear to the spindle hole whatsoever. It has been seriously under played for an album this old!

SOME LIGHT WHISP AND A FEW LIGHT HAIRLINES HERE AND THERE, BUT THE LP PLAYS SUPERB AND HAS NO UNWANTED NOISES OR JUMPS etc. It is so hard to find a copy that plays super clean, and this 'Island prefix' pressing with the dark brown lettering on the labels is very hard to find.

THE LABELS   MINT  FLAT MATT 'DARK BROWN' lettering with ILPS prefix..later copies were lighter brown as per usual Bronze labels..

 

THE SLEEVE     EX  strong super clean unlaminated 'NO LOGO' printed sleeve

Correct  unlaminated 'first Island' 'Howards of Slough' Sleeve- which has the ILPS prefix on the back rear sleeve, later ones had the Bronze logo added.

THIS ONE IS QUITE EASILY THE BEST WE HAVE SEEN FOR AGES..It has some light edge wear which is unavoidable due to the delicate finish of this particular sleeve-

The edges show only fine  traces of rub on each edge and all colours and inks remain in outstanding condition. This sleeve which is so hard to preserve without wear has clearly been stored away for Some time-

There is the slightest beginnings of some very fine powdery white ringwear on the back top sleeve & some light ring press -.

Some tiny tip rub and a few light spider lines over the spine.

The open edge is clean with only some very light feathering on the open edge.

The spine itself has no squash and no rub of any note- superb!

The gatefold open out is simply stunning..no wear or damage at all

So yes a few little areas of rub on this sleeve, but honestly we simply do not see this LP in any decent condition hardly ever- this is a cracker..   

THE INNER SLEEVE   EX+   RARE BLUE ISLAND ORIGINAL

Original thick POLY LINED BLUE ISLAND  inner. A couple of light creases but no damage or tears - Has the cat number in biro on top edge on one side
